“I am new to the group and am struggling a bit to understand the language and essential skills. Could you tell me more about what you do and where I would use it?” Yes that is an email I received a few days ago. At first I let it go but as with most things I started thinking about it day later One of the weirdest conversations I have is when someone asks me what I do for a living. I could be at a party or at the mall or even just having dinner somewhere. Personally I don’t like too many people knowing what I do. When I do I get cornered and grilled about how they could improve or what I can teach them in the next 5 minutes. I have a pretty good life and it is all because of these skills. I honestly have the life that other people dream about. My friends are insanely jealous. They are stuck in the daily grind. Up at 6 am only to drag themselves to their car for a 45 minute drive, is traffic is light, into work. Then they work until 5 or 6 only to drag themselves back into their car for another 45 minute slow speed race home. They collapse on their couch. Then when the weekend finally gets there…they have to do all the stuff they did not have time to do all week Then they start all over again on Monday! Read the rest of this entry
