So I thought I’d write a quick post about my experiences over the last week.  My home city of Christchurch, New Zealand was hit by a 7.1 magnitude earthquake at 4:35am last Saturday morning.  Since then we’ve had over 300 aftershocks, many of them at least level 5 magnitude or higher.  There’s a website a local geek created which gives a visual indication of the earthquake and aftershocks we’ve been experiencing:

Hi Folks,

It has been a week or so since I checked in. I tend not to write anything unless I have something to say

The past 3 weeks have been chaos. So let me catch you up. I decided that it was time to finish a house that I have been working on for 4 years. Yes it was turning into a  hobby.
