Myth of Confidence- Failing your way to the TOP

What you have been told and sold that NEVER ever worked.

Be super strong. Pump yourself up. The presenter who got up and 5 am to pump himself up to present at 9 am

Make other seem small… See them in their underwear. Reinforces you insecurity

Think positive thoughts… A recent study on thinking positive actually sabotaging you

Prepare prepare prepare… Just repeats the underlying feeling that you are not good enough.

Focus on your strengths- make them your crutch

Why are you not confident?

Brain structure: Reactive responses trigger the “ I am going to die” survival reaction. This triggers the flight response we all have. This is why trying to force yourself does not work. Force generates stress and sucks the adaptability out of your brain.

Looking into the black pit of the unknown

You don’t know how to fail and what to do next. You get to the end of the road of your experience and then the world drops off into the emptiness on nothingness. You have no map on where to go from there but…. you know exactly where your comfort zone is so you run back to it.

Confidence is the result of experiencing success AND failure. You MUST know how to fail AND how to succeed.

Fail Early And Repeatedly
