Presuppositions Exercise 1

Read the sentences that follow and take note of what the presuppositions
are in them.  To easily recognize a presupposition
just think of what action has not actually taken place yet, but is just being assumed.

When driving this car you will notice the great handling and acceleration.

Think about what areas of your life presuppositions
would be useful.  What actions do you want a person
to think about taking, and making his or her own idea.

Write out 3 presuppositions you can use at work, and 3 presuppositions you can use
socially or with your family.
