Many people take advice from those who have done nothing. They tale advice from those you have no clue what they are talking about. Friends family and complete strangers who have no credibility.

They blindly follow whatever the newest fad is without even asking if it works or if the person recommending it has gotten results long term.

It makes my mind go numb.

When you want advice about life should you ask your those who are in the same position you are in?

Last weekend we were talking to a few people who were very nice. They though they were experts on the economy, jobs and what ‘should’ be done to improve everything.

They had no money. They had no discipline. They had poor health. They were doing nothing to educate themselves. Yet in their minds they were experts.

Hey want a great life… talk to those who have it not those living in someone’s basement.

Yes I know no one is perfect. This is not meant to be about how some people don’t see value in money or success and they are happy. I get that.

If you want success then you have to talk to and associate with those who are successful. No matter what it is you are trying to learn. That means that if you want a million dollars you better talk to someone who has gotten that not someone who has read books about getting it.

If you have 10 bucks in the bank then you don’t need advice from someone with 10 million. You don’t need advice form someone who also has 10 bucks and never did anything.

You need advice from someone who started with 10 bucks and made a million.

So let me help you out a bit. What should you do before asking advice or even following directions of those who present themselves as experts?

1. Can they provide proof that they have done what they are telling you to do…. successfully?

2. Do they live the lifestyle that they are suggesting you live?

3. How much of what they are saying can you do… TODAY?

4. What sacrifices are you going to have to make and are you willing to make them?
