Combining Inflection, Emotion, and Embedded Commands

Combining Emotions

Use one emotion for the word and then lead them with the mentioned emotion. Decide for yourself what emotion to instill the first word with.

I want to present this opportunity in a way that allows you to relax.

If you look at this idea I am sure you will be curious

I know you have other candidates and there is a difference between people you would consider and people you desire.

Now use any of the emotions and use it with the phrase “something else”

Do you want chocolate or do you want something else.

Inflection Exercise 1 – Say these sentences using a downward command inflection at the end.

Are you ready to make a decision

Do you understand.

Are you ready to set up a meeting now?

We can do this if you agree.

Inflection Exercise 2

Now do the same thing with an upward questioning inflection

Inflection Exercise 3 – Think of a situation with friends, family, or business associates, where it would be useful to instill doubt about something. Write down a few sentences where you do this.

Inflection/Emotion/Embedded Command/Embedded question Exercise

I was wondering if…. you can find the time to help me, in a way that feels rewarding.

Do you think…If you look at this idea I am sure you will be curious. Do you understand.

Have you ever…Looked and this idea and it felt curious.

If you can…I am saying that you want to, take a look at this opportunity.

Have you ever…been open to meeting someone that made you feel a certain way.
