It seems so simple when you put it that way. The problem comes when you start to make the decision os act to be active. Yes that is when you have something better to do. ” I was going to open a new business and make tons of money but…..I had to clean my garage that day! or..I had to sort my socks or…I needed to go to the store and get my cigarettes booze and porn.”
We all do it. I do it as well sometimes. I start THINKING that what I am doing is more important than the important stuff. This week I made a decision to rent out my house. I have an unfinished house that I want complete. I have come to the realization that the best way to do that is live there. I also like the idea of not having any mortgage payment and living debt free.
The funny thing is that I started looking around my house and realized how much stuff I have never completed. The tile in one bathroom is still half done. The kitchen counter still needed the tile finished. I had closets with no shelves. I have a wire running from one room to the alarm system in the other. In other words…I had not taken any action on these things in 6 years.
Sure I was busy doing other things. I can re-imagine the past 6 or 7 years and ignore the truth. The truth is that I had a LOT of time to do these things. I had a lot of time when I was doing nothing while convincing myself that I was doing something.
